Man charged after knife seized in Dudley
West Midlands Police arrested the 21 year old on Monday evening (13 April)
A West Bromwich man - aged 21 - has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place by West Midlands Police.
They were called to reports of a man in car with a knife on Monday evening at around 7.50pm.
A man was detained at Dudley Port in Tipton and a knife seized a short time later.
Ashley Smith will appear at Dudley Magistrates on the 5th of May.
Police say there are increased patrols in the Sandwell district currently, concentrating on Tipton, as part of Operation Scarletfox.
