A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal collision on the M6.

The 59-year-old was arrested following yesterday's collision with a motorcyclist near Junction 10 yesterday.

He is in custody this morning while our enquiries continue.

The family of the man who died in the collision have been notified and are being supported by officers.

Our thoughts are with them at this tragic time.

Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the collision, which happened shortly before 3pm near Junction 10.

They are keen to speak to any drivers who were in the vicinity at the time and especially want to see any dashcam footage which could help with their enquiries.
