Man arrested after cyclist seriously injured in Birmingham

Police investigating a collision, which left a cyclist seriously injured in Birmingham, have made an arrest.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A car collided with the cyclist in Brandwood Park Road yesterday evening (3 January).

Police said the silver BMW failed to stop at the scene. The cyclist remains in hospital in a serious condition.

West Midlands Police said: "We’re continuing our investigation and would urge anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch with us via 101 or Live Chat quoting log 4855 of 3 January."
