A group of up to fifteen teenagers struck the victim several times
Police in Hereford are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in what officers believe is a racially aggravated attack.
Officers were alerted to an incident taking place in Whitecross Park on West Failing Street at around 8:50pm on May 17th.
When responders arrived at the scene, they found that a 14-year-old boy had been assaulted by a group of young people who had hit and kicked him several times.
On top of this, the boy said that the group of teenagers had been using racial slurs as part of their verbal abuse of the boy.
Following the incident, the boy was checked over by officers - who determined he sustained no serious injuries.
According to West Mercia Police, the group of teenagers had been made up of anywhere between ten and fifteen boys who were around the same age as the victim.
As well as this, further details regarding the outfit of one of the boys was described, with one reportedly wearing a pink jacket and blue jeans.
