Investigation launched after man dies in house fire in Edgbaston
Police want to figure out the cause of the fire
Police are investigating after a man died in a house fire on Hagley Road in Edgbaston this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a fire at a private address on Hagley Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham at 4.29am.
"We sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the WMAS Critical Care Car to the scene.
"On arrival crews found a man. It quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the man who was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
West Midlands Police say they're working to figure out the circumstances of his death and the cause of the fire.
They say they're supporting the man's loved ones at this time.
