Five charged with assault and robbery near Bristol Airport

A serious assault on the A38 on Saturday has led to multiple charges

Five men from Birmingham have been charged with multiple offences after a serious assault occurred on the A38 near Bristol Airport on Saturday morning.

Emergency services responded to reports that two men had been seriously assaulted following a vehicle collision shortly after 8:25 a.m.

The victims were taken to the hospital, where they received treatment for injuries that were neither life-threatening nor life-changing, and have since been discharged.

The five individuals charged are Vladimir Stan, 52; Constantin Stan, 29; Mihai Stan, 20; Able Marin, 20; and Florin Stan, 28, all from Birmingham, with varying addresses in the city.

They face charges including conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, conspiring to commit robbery, violent disorder, criminal damage, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

All five appeared at North Somerset Magistrates’ Court on 23rd February and have been remanded in custody, pending their next hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 23rd March.

Additionally, a 40-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released under investigation, with inquiries still ongoing.
