Man dies in suspected hit and run in Birmingham
Police are searching for a car they think was involved
A man's died in a suspected hit and run in Birmingham.
Police were called in the early hours of this morning to Bartley Green to reports of a man being hit by a car.
Sadly 44 year-old Shaun Harron was rushed to hospital but was sadly later pronounced dead.
Police are appealing for help to find a brown Vauxhall Astra they believe was involved in the crash at the junction of Romsley Road and Adams Hill just after midnight on Sunday 26th April.
They say the vehicle did not stop after the crash and headed away in the direction of Jiggins Lane.
Specialist investigators are scouring CCTV and doing door-to-door enquiries as they work to trace the car which had the registration LV63 WHN and identify the driver involved.
Sgt Rich Evans from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Tragically Shaun Harron has lost his life after being struck by a car which did not then stop, and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this terrible time.
"Investigators are working at pace to trace the vehicle and believe it will have sustained damage in the incident, so if anyone can help, we'd urge them to get in touch.
"We'd also ask anyone who was in the area or may have dashcam footage as they drove through at around the time of the collision, to get in contact."
