Police have seized three e-scooters and issued fines as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour and those causing a nuisance for residents in Dudley.

Officers joined Dudley Council for a joint operation at Stevens Park and Homer Hill Park after concerns from residents.

Four vehicles were also given breach notices after being driven anti-socially on Manor Way.

They were issued with a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) meaning the drivers will now receive a fixed penalty notice for breaching the order.

Officers say tackling anti-social behaviour remains a priority in Dudley and regular patrols are being conducted in hotspot areas with teams listening to concerns the community have.

Three PSPOs are in force which focus on antisocial vehicle use and antisocial behaviour throughout the borough including Dudley town centre, Castlegate, Wollaston, and Stourbridge town centre.

The PSPO which has been enforced since February will run for the next three years.

It prohibits antisocial vehicle usage that could cause a nuisance, annoyance, harassment, alarm or distress to others for example, revving of engines, rapid and repeated sudden acceleration, playing music to cause a public nuisance and using threatening, intimidating behaviour or language towards another person.

The PSPOs allows us extra powers to tackle issues and drive down ASB and criminal acts.
