A man is critically injured after being hit by a car in Birmingham this morning (18 Nov).
A man is in a serious condition after being hit by a car in Birmingham.
It happened on Lawley Middleway in Digbeth at around 6:40 this morning (18 Nov).
Police have closed the road in both directions between Curzon Circus and Garrison Circus whilst they investigate.
Drivers are being warned of major disruption and are being asked to avoid the area.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a pedestrian, a man, in a critical condition. The team of medics worked together to administer advanced trauma care to the man to stabilise his condition before conveying him on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care.”
