Crimestoppers is offering a £20,000 reward to anyone who can help find those responsible for a fatal crash in Birmingham.

A 22-year-old man died when two cars collided on Stratford Road at the junction of Ladypool Road on at around 11:50pm 1 August. He was a passenger in a Vauxhall Meriva, which went into an Audi A4.

He was taken to hospital but later died.

Police, who are separate from Crimestoppers, are searching for the two other people from the Vauxhall, including the driver.

lan Edwards, Crimestoppers West Midlands regional manager, said: "This was a devastating collision that has left a family grieving and a community in shock. We know that speaking up is not always easy, especially when fear or loyalty gets in the way. That’s why we guarantee anonymity – no names, no trace, no comeback. If you know something, please contact us.

“Crimestoppers is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We cannot trace your call or track your IP address. No one will ever know you contacted us. This means no police, no courts, no witness statements. You may think your information is insignificant, however it could make all the difference.”

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the Serious Collision Investigation Team said: “Information can be given to Crimestoppers anonymously, tell them what you know, not who you are.

“We need answers for the family and friends of this man. If you have any information, please do the right thing and come forward.”
