Two men sent to hospital after crash in Aston

Two men have been sent to hospital after a crash in Aston yesterday (10th Apr).

The collision happened on Lichfield Road and Church Road in Aston in Birmingham just before 10pm.

Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and the WMAS critical care car attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found two men who were the drivers of the vehicles.

“The first man was assessed and had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.”

“The second man had sustained potentially serious injuries and received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment.”

“No further patients required treatment," they said.
