A Birmingham teenager has been jailed after attacking men in the city in a series of unprovoked assaults.
Callum Bennett, 18, first approached a man in a bar on Broad Street on New Year's Day. He punched him in the face, leaving him with a broken jaw.
The second attack happened on 25 January in the same bar when Bennett began a conversation with a man who walked away from him. The teenager followed and hit him in the head several times.
On 23 February, Bennett followed a man towards a hotel in the city centre and punched him from behind, leaving him with life-changing injuries.
PC Katie Petherick, from Birmingham Police, said: “Bennett is a dangerous individual who harmed three people in completely unprovoked attacks.
“Thanks to thorough investigative work, we were able to identify him as the offender in all three cases, and it is right that he is now behind bars as a result of his actions.
“Our thoughts have remained with the people he assaulted, and we are continuing to offer them our full support.”
Following a police investigation, Bennett was arrested and charged. He pleaded guilty and sentenced to five years in a young offender's institution.
