Birmingham's Cadbury World reveals giant chocolate pumpkin ahead of Halloween
The 50kg creation will be on display between 17th October to 1st November

Cadbury World is carving out a showstopping Halloween with a giant chocolate pumpkin, handcrafted by its own expert chocolatiers, set to take centre stage as part of this year’s spooky celebrations.
The carve-fully crafted creation, standing at a staggering 64cm tall, took chocolatiers at Cadbury World two days to bring to life. Weighing in at an impressive 50kg, it's roughly the same as two large adult Emperor penguins!
The masterpiece was created by the talented Dawn Jenks, Donna Oluban and Courtney Bunn from Cadbury World.
The pumpkin's face was hand carved, with the eyes painted with white lustre on the outside and gold in the middle to create the impression that they are glowing from inside. The stems are made from existing cocoa pod moulds, which were filled, shelled and then crafted together to form this chocolatey creation.
The creations intricate autumnal chocolate leaves were created individually by hand, hand-piped onto parchment before being curved while still wet to create each leaf's natural shagpe, followed by a hand-painted finish of lustre to bring the autumnal colours to life.
Visitors will be able to see the supersized pumpkin up close throughout the Halloween period, with the masterpiece taking pride of place next to Cadbury World’s brand-new Trick or Treat experience.
Running from 17th October to 1st November 2026, the gameshow-style experience challenges visitors to choose from a series of doors and guess which Cadbury Character is hiding behind one. Everyone who plays will take home a little treat, while those who successfully find a Cadbury Character can unlock an extra-special reward – all with the giant chocolate pumpkin adding an extra dose of Halloween magic to the experience.
Returning this year is Freddo’s Halloween Spooktacular Live Stage Show, inviting visitors to jump, sing and laugh along with Freddo in a 15-minute show packed with games, songs, Halloween magic and spooky surprises.
Hand-crafted chocolate pumpkins will also be available to purchase from the Cadbury World shop, allowing guests to take home their own miniature version of the giant creation.
