A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after another teenager was stabbed in Smethwick.

A boy, 17, has been charged with murder after another teenager was stabbed in Smethwick.

Zeshan Afzal, 18, was attacked on Oldbury Road shortly before 9pm on Friday (20 Feb) and pronounced dead a short time later.

The 17-year-old, who can't be named for legal reasons, has been at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court this morning (26 Feb).

West Midlands Police said: "Our enquires are continuing and we urge anyone who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.
