Two men have been charged after a handful of people in the Birmingham area were scammed out of over £100,000.
Since April, nine people have been targeted by people posing as police officers, claiming to be investigating fraud. They were then persuaded to hand over their bank cards.
The cards were then used to make fraudulent transactions.
Two men have been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.
Hashim Ali, 35, and Mohammed Shaqeeb, 40, have been remanded into custody ahead of a court hearing next month.
