Raymond Tombs, 59, has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
A man from Birmingham has been sentenced to nine years in prisons after sexually abusing two young boys over 30 years ago.
Raymond Tombs, 59, was found guilty of six offences of indecency against children at a trial.
Tombs was in his 20s when he began sexually abusing two boys under the age of 14.
Investigator Kuli Mudhar, from the Public Protection Unit at West Midlands Police, said: "The children who endured this abuse are now adults and have shown immense bravery in coming forward to say what has happened.
"It is due to their courage that this abuser is now behind bars, sending a clear message that we will always pursue such matters, even when decades have gone by."
The crimes came to light when one of the victims spoke to a family member about what had happened and it was reported to police.
The second boy was identified during the investigation.
