Three arrested after man left at Smethwick hospital with serious injuries
Police are appealing for help to figure out what happened
Three men are being questioned by police after a man was dropped off at hospital in Smethwick with serious injuries.
The man, in his 30s, was left at the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick just after 2.30pm on Wednesday 22nd April.
He remains in hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Detectives launched immediate enquiries to figure out how he came to be injured, and who was involved in transporting him.
At this stage, they believe he was injured in the Tudor Road area of Winson Green and was then taken to hospital in a black Mercedes.
Three men aged 41, 40, and 23, were arrested on Friday 24th April and remain in police custody being questioned on suspicion of assault.
Enquiries are continuing, with detectives analysing CCTV from around the area.
Police are now asking for the public’s help with their investigation, and want to hear from anyone who may have information about what happened to the man or who saw that car in the area around that time.
