Wolverhampton man jailed after trying to meet 12-year-old girl for sex

He was unknowingly talking to an undercover officer

A man from Wolverhampton who tried to meet 12-year-old girls to have sex with them has been jailed for over seven years.

24-year-old Aaron Kainth believed he was talking to a young girl in April last year, but was unknowingly talking to an undercover officer.

He pleaded guilty to:

  • arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence
  • attempting to cause a female child aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity
  • attempting to cause a child a under 13 to look at an image of sexual activity
  • two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child

He's been sentenced to seven years and two months in jail and put on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
