Up to 300 job cuts at Jaguar Land Rover across the Midlands
Wolverhampton, Coventry and Solihull have been affected
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) could axe up to 300 jobs in cuts across the Midlands.
The company hasn't said which plants might be affected, but it is expected that the effects will impact staff based in Solihull, Gaydon in Warwickshire, Wolverhampton and Coventry.
A spokesperson for JLR called it "a limited redeployment and displacement programme."
The car maker says affected staff will be supported to find other roles where possible, alongside voluntary early exit.
JLR also specified that hourly production workers would not be affected, and the cuts would apply to "salaried and management graded colleagues" instead.
Three years ago, JLR announced the creation of 300 jobs in the Midlands.
