Fire in Okeford Fitzpaine derelict mobile homes 'suspicious'

Two derelict mobile homes have been destroyed in a fire in North Dorset, which is being treated as suspicious.

Firefighters from Sturminster Newton and Blandford were called to Shillingstone Lane in Okeford Fitzpaine just after 5.00pm yesterday (Sunday 6th April).

Crews were called to Okeford Fitzpaine on Sunday evening, following reports of a building alight

Compressed air foam and hose reels were used to put out the flames.

Crews left the scene at around 7.00pm, but returned to ensure there were no hotspots at around 10.45pm.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue referred the incident to Dorset Police, as it's believed to be suspicious.

Investigations are ongoing into the exact cause of the blaze.
