A 90s indie legend will be performing in Lyme Regis next month - as practice for supporting Oasis on their huge reunion tour in the summer.

John Power, best known as the lead singer for The La's and Cast, is doing a warm-up gig at the Marine Theatre on Friday 28th March.

It's being described as an 'intimate' show, leading into the huge stadium gigs with the Gallagher brothers in a few months time.

John played bass as an 18-year-old in The La’s - most famous for the tune 'There She Goes'.

He then formed Cast in 1991, and lead them through the Britpop era – securing two platinum-selling records and hit singles like Walkaway and Alrght, before returning to the charts in 2024 with Love Is The Call.
