Two dogs have been seized by police in Dorchester.

Officers executed a search warrant under the Dangerous Dogs Act at an address in the county town yesterday morning (Wednesday 15th January).

They were supported by Dorset Council dog wardens and the RSPCA.

The dogs taken away are suspected to be banned breeds.

A reptile found at the property was also removed for veterinary checks.

During the search, a small quantity of Class B drugs was found too, with a woman dealt with through a Community Resolution.

We're asked to keep reporting incidents of concern so they can be followed up by officers.
