Appeal after cyclist injured and bike stolen in Bournemouth

Police say the assault took place near the Central Gardens tennis courts

A food delivery rider has reportedly been assaulted and had his bike stolen by a group of teenagers near the Central Gardens tennis courts in Bournemouth town centre.

The incident occurred around 7.45pm on 20th February 2026.

The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered a fractured hand during the attack.

Detective Staff Investigator Katy Miles from BCP CID is leading the investigation.

Katy Miles said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into this incident and I would urge any witnesses to please make contact with us.”

“I am also keen to hear from anyone with relevant footage or who has information regarding those involved in this incident.”
