Appeal after 7-year-old seriously injured in Christchurch fail-to-stop crash

Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses after a fail-to-stop crash in Christchurch.
Officers say they received a report at 7.36pm on Tuesday 10 June 2025 of a collision involving a pedestrian and an electric motorbike in Fairmile Road.
It was reported that the rider of the motorbike had failed to stop at the scene.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a seven-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.
“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.
“Furthermore, I would like to make a direct appeal to the person involved to please do the right thing and come forward.”
