A person has been hit by a train between Nottingham and Derby / East Midlands Parkway this morning (6 March).

All lines remain closed whilst emergency services respond.

Trains between these stations may be cancelled, delayed, or revised.

Major disruption is expected until about 11am.

Passengers are being advised to check before travelling. Some rail operators are looking at alternative travel options.
