Thousands of Newcastle fans have lined the city streets as the team paraded their first domestic trophy in 70 years on an open top bus.

Eddie Howe's side beat Liverpool in the League Cup final at Wembley earlier this month.

The Parade began at the home of Newcastle United, St James Park, with hundreds of fans turning out hours early before the bus left.

The bus traveled through the city centre, ending on the Town Moor, where a celebration event has been taking place, with a replay of the iconic March 16th EFL Cup final victory over Liverpool - as well as live music, a Legends Q+A and the squad lifting the trophy in front of over 200 000 fans.

There have been road closures in place throughout the city today, you can find more about the traffic changes via the Council's website.
