With just months to go until the 70th edition of The Eurovision Song Contest, the UK's act has finally been announced, ramping up huge excitement ahead of the big night!
The UK’s representative was chosen following an extensive search led by UK Eurovision Project Director and Music Industry figure, David May, alongside Andrew Cartmell, Executive Producer, BBC Studios North and Head of Delegation for the UK.
Who is representing the UK at Eurovision?
It was announced on Tuesday 17th February that solo artist LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will be representing the United Kingdom at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
Who is LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER?
Real name Sam James Bartle, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is a singer/songwriter from Kent, who is also a live electronics performer and composer, and an inventor of unique musical machines.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER says: “I find it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey. I have always been a massive Eurovision fan, and I love the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously. I’ve been working a long-time creating, writing, and producing my own visions from scratch, and documenting my process. I will be bringing every ounce of my creativity to my performances, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear and see what we’ve created. I hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesized!”
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER also has a huge following on social media, with over 85 million views and 1.4 million subscribers to his YouTube page, which launched in 2026 and has racked up a loyal fan following.
As well as showing his passion of skilfully creating his musical inventions, he has earned viral success building and playing unusual and eccentric electronic instruments; notably, organs made from Furbies and Game Boys, synthesizer bicycles, flame-throwing keyboards, and a Star Wars droid orchestra.
