Cadbury World unveils giant ‘Mega Mini Egg’ just in time for Easter
Bournville attraction debuts 70cm, 55kg chocolate creation following last year’s viral Creme Egg success

A giant chocolate “Mega Mini Egg” weighing 55kg has gone on display at Cadbury World ahead of the Easter holidays, as the popular visitor attraction gears up for a seasonal surge in footfall.
The oversized confection, modelled on the classic Cadbury Mini Egg, stands 70cm tall and is being presented as a centrepiece in the site’s chocolate making area from 30 March.
It follows a similar large-scale stunt last year, when Cadbury World created what it described as the world’s biggest Creme Egg. According to the attraction, public interest in that display prompted the decision to produce another enlarged version of a well-known Easter product.
The latest creation was made over two days by a team of in-house chocolatiers. It features a solid chocolate core encased in a pastel-coloured sugar shell designed to replicate the look of the original sweet, including its distinctive speckled finish.
Chocolatier at Cadbury World, Claire Fielding, said:
“After the amazing reaction to last year’s gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg, we knew we had to craft something just as fantastic for 2026.
"Cadbury Mini Eggs are another absolute favourite and a British Easter staple, so creating the Mega Mini Egg felt like the perfect next challenge.
"We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper. It’s been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can’t wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter.”
While the Mega Mini Egg is not for sale, it forms part of a broader programme of Easter-themed activities aimed at families visiting the site during the school holidays.
The attraction is expected to see increased visitor numbers over the Easter period, one of its busiest times of year.
