A Ukrainian refugee living in Teesside says she is hoping Ukraine will continue being supported as much as it has by America.

It comes as Donald Trump had his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States last night.

Olga Bakumenko is a Ukrainan refugee living in Stokesley and she said: "Nobody can predict what this change in American politics can bring to Ukraine. Whether our situation is worse or whether it's better, for now we don't understand and we don't expect anything.

"I hope very much that Ukraine will be supported by America because it's not only Trump who decides. It's not like Russia when Putin if he says something then you expect that everything will be according to his words.

"As I see the situation, a lot of people in America support Ukraine and many politicians still support Ukraine. I don't expect that they just give up and don't want to give us anything."
