Two men stabbed in an area of Middlesbrough

Police believe the incidents are linked

Police have put in place a cordon after two males received stab wounds in the Hemlington area of Middlesbrough.

A 19-year-old man suffered stab wounds in an incident in Fonteyn Court around 5:20pm and a 21-year-old man suffered stab wounds on Dalwood Court around 5:25pm on Monday (11th August).

Both males were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers believe that the two incidents are linked and two men have been arrested in connection with the incident as enquiries continue.

A section 60 has been put in place which will see officers conducting high visibility patrols across Hemlington to provide reassurance to the local community and to deter any criminality.

Under the order, officers are granted powers to stop and search any individual when appropriate in the area outlined in the map below.
