Two boys arrested after attempted knife-point robbery in Stokesley

Detectives investigating an attempted knife-point robbery in Stokesley are appealing for a key witness to come forward.
The incident happened at around 3.25pm yesterday (3rd March) when the 15-year-old victim was walking on Station Road.
He was approached by two other boys who are reported to have made threats with a knife while attempting to steal his mobile phone.
An unknown man intervened and the two suspects fled from the scene on their bicycles.
Officers are appealing for this man to come forward to assist the investigation.
Two boys aged 14 and 12 were arrested in the local area at around 6pm and they have since been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.
Officers are asking the potential key witness or anyone who knows who he is to get in touch.
Police are also appealing for any relevant CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage to support the investigation.
