Two arrested in connection with lunchtime robbery in Grangetown

Detectives have arrested two people in connection with a robbery and assault in Kingsley Close in Grangetown.

It happened on Thursday lunchtime (16 October). The 37-year-old victim had a knife put to his throat before he was struck with a metal bar.

He suffered several facial injuries, before a bank card was stolen and used by a woman.

A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and robbery. He was later charged and remanded into custody.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of robbery, questioned and released on bail pending further enquiries.
