An investigation is underway after another life-saving defibrillator was stolen in East Cleveland at the weekend.

Cleveland police say they're disappointed to report a 3rd defib was taken from the side of Lingdale's community centre on Stanghow Road at some point on Sunday the 15th of June.

Two other defibrillators were stolen last Monday, 9th June: one from outside Skelton Civic Centre on Coniston Road and one from Skelton Methodist Church in nearby Skelton Green.

Redcar & East Cleveland Neighbourhoods Inspector Neil Deluce said: “These machines cost thousands of pounds and are an essential community asset which could potentially save a life.

“I’d ask local people to check their doorbell, dashcam or private CCTV for any relevant footage to help us determine who may have been responsible for the thefts and I also urge anyone with any other information to contact Cleveland Police ASAP on the 101 number.
