NE Volume Music Bar, located in the heart of Stockton-on-Tees, opened its doors in 2020, and it needs your help to keep the doors open.

The venue has become a cherished part of the community, hosting a diverse array of live music events and providing a space for artists and music enthusiasts to come together.

NE Volume Music Bar is facing an incredibly challenging road ahead, and it needs your help now more than ever.

Co-owner Lee Allcock added: “We’re confronted with escalating energy costs, the need for constant building repairs, and vital equipment that urgently needs replacing. As bar sales alone can no longer cover the essential running costs, the future of our beloved venue is at risk.

“It's a reality many grassroots venues face. In fact, more than 40% of UK music venues ran at a loss in 2024, and over 160 have closed their doors in just the past two years. Without the support of our community, we fear we could be next.”

But this isn’t the end – it’s just the beginning of the venue’s fight to keep live music alive in Stockton. The venue is launching a heartfelt crowdfunding campaign to raise £5000 in just a few weeks and they’re asking for your help to secure a future for local live music.

Lee stated: “Every penny will be put towards ensuring NE Volume Music Bar’s survival as well as improving facilities for everyone to enjoy. Together, we can continue to build a vibrant music scene, one that has been the heartbeat of our community for years.”

Now, more than ever, the venue needs the love and support of our incredible community here on Teesside.

Lee added: “Join us in keeping NE Volume Music Bar alive – we can't do it without you.”

The funds will be used to stabilise finances, upgrade the PA system, and enhance stage lighting to improve the experience for both performers and guests.

Supporters can contribute through the crowdfunding platform, with various rewards available, including thank you acknowledgments, exclusive event invitations, and free gig passes.
