Communities are coming together across the Tees Valley today for Remembrance Sunday.
It's to remember all those who have served and to pay tribute to those currently serving.
Here's a list of what's happening later:
Middlesbrough
In Middlesbrough, there will be a parade and service attended by the Mayor and other civic dignitaries.
As in previous years, the civic party, veterans, military, and cadets will form up to march to the cenotaph for the service. The parade will form up at 10.30am ready to march up to the cenotaph for the service, which should finish around 12.30pm.
The service will also be live-streamed on the Council's Facebook page.
Redcar and Cleveland
The Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland will lead remembrance services.
There will be 23 services and wreath laying ceremonies in total spanning across yesterday and today.
Mayor, Councillor Ian Hart, who will attend the Redcar ceremony, said: “Remembrance Sunday is a sacred day. It’s a chance to remember all those who have served – including those who gave the ultimate sacrifice - and their families. We also pay tribute to all those who continue to serve our nation. I urge everyone to attend a service if they can or at least take a moment to reflect.”
The below services will be held on today, apart from in Normanby and Teesville which were held yesterday.
BOOSBECK
Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at 2.30pm at the War Memorial, Boosbeck Cemetery.
BROTTON
Service begins at 9.30am in St Margaret’s Church, Brotton, followed by procession to the War Memorial for Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at approx.10.50am. Road Closures.
CARLIN HOW
Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony will take place at the War Memorial at 11.45am.
DORMANSTOWN
Remembrance Service at Ennis Square Social Club at 7pm.
EASINGTON
Service at All Saints Church at 9am followed by Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial at 9.45am.
ESTON
The parade will form up at the California Youth Centre, leaving at 10.40am to arrive at the War Memorial, Eston Square at approx.10.50am for Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony. Road Closures.
GRANGETOWN
Service at St Hilda’s Church at 9am. Assemble at Argyle Road from approx.10.30am for the procession to the War Memorial for Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at 10.50am. Road Closures.
GUISBOROUGH
Parade forms up in Westgate (starting between Westgate Road and New Road) at 10.30am for march off at 10.45 am to the War Memorial. After observing the silence, wreath laying led by the Guisborough Town Mayor will take place and a small service conducted by the Rector of Guisborough. The parade will then reform to march back to Westgate. Road Closures. (Wreath Laying will also take place at Roseberry Church at 9am, Upleatham War Memorial at 9.15 am and Dunsdale War Memorial at 9.30 am).
LAZENBY
Remembrance Sunday Service at 11am in St Cuthbert’s Parish Church, Wilton, followed by Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial in Lazenby at approx.12pm.
LINGDALE
Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony will take place at the War Memorial at 1.50pm. Road Closures.
LOFTUS
Family mass will take place at St Leonard’s Parish Church at 9am. At 10.45am the parade will assemble at Loftus Town Hall, leaving at 10.50am for a Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial. Road Closures.
MARSKE
Parade forms up at Meadow Road at 9.15am, to parade to St Mark’s Church for the 9.45am Service, followed by a wreath laying ceremony and Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 11am. Road Closures.
MOORSHOLM
An Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony will take place at the War Memorial outside St Mary’s Church at 9am, followed by a Service inside the church.
NEW MARSKE
Remembrance Service at St. Thomas Church at 3pm followed by wreath laying ceremony.
NORTH SKELTON
Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony to take place at the War Memorial at 1pm.
ORMESBY
Holy Communion Service at St Cuthbert’s Church at 10am, followed by Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial in the churchyard from 10.45am.
REDCAR
The Redcar British Legion Parade will form up on Peirson Street (behind the Coatham Social Club) from 10.30am, and will march off at approx.10.45am along Lobster Road, turning onto Coatham Road for the Remembrance Service and wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph at approx.10.50am. After the Service the Parade will reform for the march past and salute. Road Closures.
SALTBURN
Service at Emmanuel Church at 9.30am, followed by parade to the War Memorial for an Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at 10.50am. Road Closures.
SKELTON
Service of Remembrance at All Saints Parish Church at 9.45am followed by a wreath laying ceremony and Act of Remembrance at the war memorial at 10.50am. Road Closures.
SKINNINGROVE
Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial at 12.15pm. Road Closures.
SOUTH BANK
Service at St John’s Parish Church at 9.30am, followed by Service of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial, King George’s Square from 10.45am.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough
Residents are invited to pay their respects at services being held in communities around the area.
STOCKTON
Stockton Parish Church will hold its usual contemporary Sunday Service at 9.30am with a remembrance theme, ending with the Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial from 10.45am onwards.
Those wishing to attend the Cenotaph service only are asked to gather at the Cenotaph by 10.35am.
A parade will march up the High Street from 10.35am and be in position at the Cenotaph for a service commencing at 10.45am.
THORNABY
Members of the public are asked to join the Deputy Mayor and members of the Thornaby Branch of the Royal British Legion at the car park in Cranworth Street off Westbury Street at 10am.
A parade will start at 10.25am with a service to be held at the Cenotaph on Acklam Road at 10.40am.
BILLINGHAM
A parade will assemble in the car park of the Salutation Pub from 10am and a march will begin at 10.30am to the Garden of Remembrance on Station Road.
The parade will arrive at the Cenotaph at 10.45am ahead of a service beginning at 10.45am.
At 11.30am, the parade will march back to the Salutation Pub.
INGLEBY BARWICK
A service starts at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Barwick Lane, leaving the church for the Act of Remembrance at the Memorial Stone at 11am.
YARM
A service will be held in the Parish Church, West Street, at 9.45 am.
A short service at the War Memorial at 10.45am will be followed by a small procession on the High Street, ending at Yarm School.
NORTON
A festival of Remembrance was held yesterday at Norton Sports Charity.
On Remembrance Sunday today, a morning worship and Act of Remembrance with two minutes’ silence will take place at St Mary's Church and Norton War Memorial, St Mary’s Churchyard, Norton Green from 10.45am.
On Tuesday, November 11, an Armistice Day Service will take place at 10.30am. There will be an Act of Remembrance from 10.50am, with laying of wreaths and two minutes' silence at St Mary's Church and Norton War Memorial, St Mary's Churchyard, Norton Green.
EGGLESCLIFFE
A service will be held at Egglescliffe Parish Church (St John the Baptist), Butts Lane, at 10am. This will be followed by a procession to Egglescliffe War Memorial at 10.45am.
KIRKLEVINGTON
The Church of St Martin and St Hilary will be holding a service at 10.15am, followed by a two minutes’ silence.
PORT CLARENCE
A short service will be held at the Cenotaph at 1.30pm, followed by the laying of wreaths.
PRESTON-ON-TEES
A service which will be held at All Saints' Church on Dunattor Avenue at 9.45am. The service will then move to the nearby War Memorial for a two minutes’ silence.
STILLINGTON
A service will be held at Stillington Cenotaph, Messines Lane, at 12pm.
WOLVISTON
A service at St Peter’s Church will start at 10.15am and all standards and wreaths to be blessed need to be in place by 10am. The procession will depart from St Peter’s Church at 10.45am.
Hartlepool
Hartlepool Borough Council will host services today at Victory Square in the town centre, the Headland War Memorial in Redheugh Gardens and Seaton Carew War Memorial on The Green.
A service will also take place at Greatham Cenotaph (11am) and there will be remembrance services at St Peter’s Church in Elwick (9.30am) and St Mary Magdalene Church at Hart Village (11am).
The Victory Square and Headland War Memorial services will begin at approximately 10.55am and 10.50am respectively, while the service at Seaton Carew will start at 12.30pm.
At the Victory Square service, a parade will leave the Market Square (to the rear of York Road) at 10.45am. Following the service there will be a march past and salute of the war memorial. Road closures will be in place from 10am-12pm.
On the Headland, a parade will leave Church Walk at 10.45am and proceed to the war memorial via Prissick Street and Cliff Terrace. Road closures in the area will be in place from 10am-12pm.
At Seaton, road closures in the area will be in place from 12-1pm.
Councillor Carole Thompson, the Ceremonial Mayor of Hartlepool, said: “The services taking place across the borough are an opportunity for us all to come together and honour the memories of those local servicemen and servicewomen and members of the emergency services who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.
“It is important that we never forget their bravery and dedication.”
Darlington
10am Remembrance Service at Holy Trinity Church and then a parade to the Cenotaph will start on the grounds of Darlington Memorial Hospital, which includes a two minute silence at 11am.
There will be a Service of Remembrance at the West Cemetery War Graves, Carmel Road North, starting at 2.30pm.
