Off-road biker suffers serious injuries in Billingham crash

Biker and car driver treated in hospital after collision

A 25-year-old rider of an off-road bike was taken to hospital after a crash in Billingham on Saturday evening.

The crash occurred at around 7:30 pm on Marsh House Avenue when the bike collided with a grey Peugeot at the junction with Knowle Road.

The biker was thrown from the bike, suffering punctured lungs, a broken arm, and a broken leg.

Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was transported to James Cook University Hospital.

The driver of the grey Peugeot experienced whiplash and received medical attention before being discharged from the same hospital.

Cleveland Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

They are seeking witnesses and those with information about the bike's movements prior to the crash.
