Three charged with murder after Eston man dies from gunshot wound

Three to appear in court following investigation into Ayton Crescent shooting

Three people have been charged with murder in connection to the death of Peter Phillips, who was shot on Ayton Crescent in Eston.

Peter Phillips, 47, succumbed to a single gunshot wound during an incident that occurred at approximately 11.00pm on Saturday, 23rd May.

Today, Tony Gaffney, Annaliese McQuilling, and Jonathon Spencer are set to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court.

They have been held in custody pending today's proceedings.

Tony Gaffney, born 2nd January 1987, last resided on Ambrose Road, Middlesbrough.

Annaliese McQuilling, born 1st December 1987, was last located on Ayton Crescent, Eston.

Jonathon Spencer, born 23rd December 1986, had a last known address on Normanby Road, Middlesbrough.

Additionally, a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail as enquiries continue.
