Today marks 150 years since the formation of Middlesbrough FC.

The club's celebrating its story which stretches all the way back to 1876.

Boro's welcoming back former players and managers today in a special Legacy Game at the Riverside.

We've been catching up with former announcer at the Riverside, Dave Roberts, about some of his favourite memories: "Recently, three cup finals in 11 months, that's still a record, lost on every occasion, but the Coca-Cola win in Cardiff was fantastic, Boro qualified for the UEFA Cup, those runs were amazing and to get to see the Boro in the UEFA Cup final, though we got stuffed, got turned over in Eindhoven, was magnificent.

"Memories of managers, Big Jack Charlton of course, Bruce Rioch, Boro went into administration, came back out with hardly any money to spend, we kicked off the season at Hartlepool United and Bruce was there throughout. And being at Chelsea when we won the very early playoffs against what was then First Division or Premier League today, Chelsea was amazing.

"Big Jack Charlton. I was barely a kid when I saw the Boro play in the 70s, but he is the one that I've got to say was the best Boro manager. Big Jack Charlton had us top of what would have been the Premier League in the 70s. What a job he did at the Boro. That was an amazing memory."

Dave tells us what he wants to see in the next 150 years: "In the short term it's got to be Boro getting back into the Premier League. We're at a decade now. We came so close last season, had three great opportunities and blew them all. And I'd like to see the Boro do a Brighton or a Bournemouth and establish themselves as a Premier League regular. And in the next 150 years? Let's see some silverware in the cabinet."

On MFC's website, they said: "Christian Karembeu, Geremi, Tuncay and Yakubu are among those already confirmed to be playing in the Boro Legacy Game.

"Also taking part are players including 2016 promotion winners George Friend, Daniel Ayala, Adam Clayton, Emilio Nsue and Dimi Konstantopoulos, Carling Cup winners Franck Queudrue and Danny Mills, and 90s stars Jan Age Fjortoft, Mikkel Beck and Craig Hignett.

"The game will see two squads of former Boro players go head-to-head."
