A 26-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the 2019 murder of Hemewand Ali Hussain in Hartlepool.

The case will continue with the man's next court appearance scheduled for 20th April at Teesside Crown Court.

Detective Inspector Lyndsey Dale, leading the investigation, remarked on the progress made in this challenging case:
