Man charged with drugs offences in Middlesborough

A man has been charged with drugs offences after being arrested by officers in Middlesbrough.

He was stopped and detained at around 2:30pm yesterday (26 September) on St Barnabas Road.

A subsequent search of an address led to the recovery of suspected cocaine and cannabis, worth up to a total of £2,850.

Machetes, scales and other drug paraphernalia were also recovered.

Kelvin Wright, 41, of St Barnabas Road, was charged with possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs and possession of criminal property.

He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today (27 September).
