Man arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment

A man has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment in Hartlepool.

Shortly after 2pm on Saturday police were called to a property on Cornwall Street following concerns for the safety of a man inside.

Officers, including trained negotiators, attended to the scene to engage with the man who was detained at around 7pm.
