Man arrested as police investigate disorder following Middlesbrough v Millwall match

Cleveland Police have condemned violence in Middlesbrough involving football supporters following the Boro vs Millwall match.
A number of fans clashed at the town's railway station after the game yesterday (3 April).
One man has been arrested.
Detective Chief Superintendent Anne-Marie Salwey said: “We are aware of reports of disorder at and around Middlesbrough railway station following the conclusion of today’s football match.
“This involved several opposing supporters fighting. At this stage, we are not aware of any member of the public having sustained any injuries.
“One man has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been taken into police custody.
“A number of officers had been deployed to this fixture, including evidence gathering officer, and a full post‑match investigation will now take place to establish the circumstances and to identify and bring those responsible to justice.
“This type of criminal behaviour has no place in football or our communities.
“We are therefore appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the disorder, or who has relevant mobile phone or dash‑cam footage, to contact police.
