A Teesside charity says they're going to be expanding their provision to help young people as they're getting busier ahead of the summer holidays.

The KFC Youth Foundation in Middlesbrough offers a safe, community space where youngsters can belong, build confidence and access support.

Sarah Hunter is the manager there and said: "I was speaking to somebody from Middlesbrough Council and they were like, how many people can we refer over to your mentorships and how do we get young people to kind of come to the hub and what programs can we create? So yes, we're getting busier working with different schools.

"We're really excited about what comes next. We're looking to expand our programmes further. We're looking to launch a community pantry and introduce online support services for young people who, for one reason or another, can't physically make it to the hub.

"We do want to keep growing in the support available for young people of Middlesbrough and create opportunities for them. We're very big on youth voice, so working with young people to craft opportunities that's relevant and current and what they want, that's kind of what we're looking forward to do over the next year."
