A man has been arrested after stepping off a ferry in France, in connection with a murder investigation on Teesside.

The 28-year-old man, from Teesside, was arrested by law enforcement officers in France as he came off a ferry on Wednesday 5 March.

He is in police custody where following extradition proceedings he will be questioned on suspicion of murder.

It comes as detectives from Cleveland Police’s Homicide and Enquiry Team (HMET) alongside other departments continue to work behind the scenes to identify and seek individuals suspected of being involved in the murder of Jordan Hogg.

The 28-year-old man died in the early hours of Friday 28 February on Fonteyn Court.

Three men, aged 17, 27 and 43, have been charged in connection with his murder and are remanded in custody until they appear at Teesside Crown Court on Friday 4 April.
