Emergency services have been at the scene of an incident in Darlington earlier today, at the Queen Elizabeth 6th Form college.
The North East Ambulance service tell us they were called out around 1:30 this afternoon, and were assisted by a Great North Air Ambulance car.
We have reached out to the college itself for more information, but reports online suggest the college has said it was an isolated incident, and does not present a risk to college users or the general public.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said:
"We were called to an incident at a premises on Vane Terrace, Darlington, at 1.30pm on 13 January. We dispatched a double crewed ambulance, a clinical team leader and were supported by Great North Air Ambulance Service's medical car."
A statement from the Great North Air Ambulance said;
"Our critical care team was activated at 1.35pm to an incident at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form in Darlington.
"We had two doctors and a paramedic on a rapid response vehicle and they arrived on scene at 1.47pm."
We have approached the College as well for more information.
