The Hartlepool dad whose daughter has been missing for more than 40 years is going to be meeting with Government ministers alongside the MP for Hartlepool.
Two year-old Katrice Lee disappeared in 1981 in Paderborn in Germany. Her family has been trying to get answers about what happened to her.
Her father, Richard, and Hartlepool's MP, Jonathan Brash, is heading to London tomorrow to share Katrice's story to Alex Davies-Jones, the Minister for Victims and VAWG.
Richard said: "I met with ministers before. However, I'm more hopeful with this minister and like everything else, I've done my homework and I believe that she is prepared to push to get answers for my daughter's disappearance.
"We've worked jointly together to try and ascertain our best way forward. I'm hoping now I believe this minister, and with the aid and help of Jonathan Brash, we'll get answers to a long-deserved question of 'where's Katrice?'
"Everything that I'll take with me is in my head because sadly over the years, I've been become, in reality, my specialist in my daughter's case and I'm saddened at that.
"My main aim is to get a minister that's prepared to push beyond the first response from the MoD and the special crimes unit. The minister I need is to push beyond that because in the past, other ministers have accepted that first reply and never questioned."
