George Bailey to headline Soundcheck at ARC Stockton
Emerging North East talent will be centre stage
The next instalment of ARC Stockton's live music series, Soundcheck, is set to be the biggest yet, with local artist George Bailey headlining.
Scheduled for 14th May 2026 at 7.30pm, the showcase will also feature acts Nice Guy, Alex Lyons, and Jake Diaz and his band.
Soundcheck has rapidly become a significant platform for grassroots music talent in Tees Valley and the North East since its inception.
ARC Stockton hosts the event intending to provide rising artists with the chance to perform on a respected cultural stage, as well as giving audiences the opportunity to discover new music in an intimate setting.
George Bailey's performance will coincide with the launch of his debut EP, 'Dream,' marking a significant milestone for the artist who gained attention at this year's Stockton Calling festival.
Bailey shared his enthusiasm about the opportunity, saying, “This feels like a massive moment for us. The EP has been years in the making and these songs are incredibly personal, so getting the chance to launch Dream at ARC in front of a home crowd is really special. Soundcheck is already becoming something important for artists in the region because it genuinely gives emerging musicians a platform to be seen and heard."
Chantal Taylor, ARC Stockton's Marketing & Communications Manager, commented on the event's success. Taylor noted the positive response to the Soundcheck series and the importance of showcasing regional talent.
The event is open to attendees aged 14 and over, with under 16s needing to be accompanied by an adult. This condition aims to make grassroots live music accessible and safe for younger audiences.
ARC Stockton also supports accessibility with its Companion Ticket Scheme, offering free tickets for companions of disabled audience members.
Discounted accommodation is available for attendees at the nearby Hampton by Hilton Stockton.
For tickets, priced at £10 including booking fee, and further information about the event, interested parties can visit the ARC Stockton website.
