Another dispersal order's been put in place on Teesside ahead of the weekend - after reports of kids attacking buses and cars.

A further dispersal order has been put in place in the Thornaby area, to provide extra powers to deter youngsters after reports of antisocial behaviour.

Police have received reports of instances of vehicles including buses being targeted by youths throwing items and issues around the town centre, including near McDonalds and the Pavilion.

The dispersal order enables officers to direct anyone who is believed to be in the area to cause antisocial behaviour to leave and not to return for 48 hours. If they do they can then be arrested.

The dispersal order will remain in place until 4pm on Sunday 14th December for 48 hours, which is the maximum length of time allowed by law before it can be renewed.

An earlier dispersal order in the Hardwick area is also being extended until 4pm on Sunday 14th December, following reports of criminal damage earlier in the week involving vehicles being targeted including fire engines, and bins set on fire.
