A man has died after a collision in Thornaby

A man has sadly died after a collision in Thornaby on Wednesday 2nd April.

The collision happened around 7:25pm when a motorbike collided with a lamppost on Mitchell Avenue, close to the junction with Wensleydale Gardens.

The rider, a man aged in his thirties, sadly passed away at the scene.

Our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.

Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the collision.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have doorbell or dashcam footage, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 057831.
