Man charged after three month old baby critically injured on Teesside

A 22-year-old man has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent after a three-month-old baby was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries on Sunday 5th October.

Officers were called to a property in the Eston area by ambulance service colleagues and the baby boy was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he remains in a “critical” condition.

Bradley Thomas, from Redcar, is due at Teesside Magistrates Court later today (Tuesday 7th October.)
